Sea Containers joins Preferred Hotels four months after management switch


Sea Containers in London on the South Bank has joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts, four months after the hotel was taken over by a new management company.

The 359-bedroom hotel joined the world’s largest independent hotel brand representing properties across 85 countries, as part of a new batch of 25 new members around the world between January 1 and March 31.

In January, global lifestyle hospitality company sbe relinquished the management of the Mondrian London, having over the reins of the hotel to the Lore Group.

The South Bank hotel became an independent hotel, managed by the Group, which is the asset manager for the property’s owner, Archlane.

This month the hotel relaunched its Dandelyan bar as Lyaness, while the Sea Containers Restaurant and rooftop bar operate as normal.
