Simon Maguire, regional general manager at Harbour Hotels Group, has left his position to take up a new role with Luxury Family Hotels.

The group comprises five hotels including Fowey Hall, New Park Manor in the New Forest and Wooley Grange in Bath.

Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, Maguire said: “I am delighted to be joining the Luxury Family Hotels team as Managing Director. The business is entering an exciting time with refurbishments set to begin imminently in Fowey and the other properties to follow. My time at Harbour was invaluable opening several hotels in quick succession including Southampton Harbour Hotel which was an incredible project to be a part of. I’m looking forward to my new challenge.”

Prior to his role at The Kensington, he worked for Hotel du Vin and The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey.

During his time with Harbour Hotels, the boutique brand acquired three new properties, one of which was its first in London, and opened a new-build £25m yacht-inspired hotel in Southampton.
