Soho House has partnered with Oakley Court hotel to launch a new members’ space on site at the hotel, overlooking the River Thames.
Summer River House is the collection of private members’ clubs’ newest outpost in Berkshire, a pop-up serving food and drink for ‘members and their guests’ throughout the season within the hotel’s 35 acres.
For every weekend during the summer, chef and restaurant founder Shimizu Akira will take over the food offering, serving up Yakitori and Japanese fried chicken with a range of Japanese beverages.
The Summer House will also host DJs, art installations and live music as the season progresses.
Only Soho House members and their guests or hotel residents will be permitted to book a table, with members also benefitting from 15% off bedroom bookings at Oakley Court.
Oakley Court is the first hotel under the direction of Alex Eagle Studio and comprises 118 bedrooms, a Sporting Club with yoga, fencing and tennis, plus the Terrace & Parlour restaurant.
The former conference venue’s spa is to be refurbished later this year.
