Nick Jones, CEO and founder of Soho House, is to open a new American-inspired motel diner concept in Oxfordshire at the end of this month.
Mollie’s Motel & Diner marks a new partnership between Soho House & Co and Quentin Restaurants and will officially launch on January 30, becoming the first in a series of new openings at roadside and city centres across the UK.
Designed as ‘a new roadside experience for travellers and families on the move’, Mollie’s Motel features 79 bedrooms, including interconnected family and bunk rooms, all designed by Soho House Design, with king-size beds, rainforest showers and Cowshed products.
In the general store as part of the venture, tea and coffee will be available free of charge for guests, as well as Wifi and charging points.
Everyday essentials, such as snacks, beauty and skincare products will be also available to purchase.
Reservations can only be made through the Mollie’s app or website, and the app will also be used for guests to check-in and out, order food and unlock their rooms with keyless entry, and for diners to book tables and place takeaway orders.
Mollie’s Diner will serve American classics, with an all-day breakfast; eggs, avocado on toast, bacon, sausage and smoked salmon baps, as well as waffles and healthy grain bowls.
For lunch and dinner, there are small bites; cheesy nachos, corn on the cob and a prawn cocktail, the Dirty Burger, free-range rotisserie chicken and mac & cheese, as well as a range of vegetarian and plant-based dishes including the Filthy burger, a vegan option with a beetroot bun.
There’s a classic cocktail menu, with the Mollie’s Mule, Espresso Martini, Eastern Standard, and Bloody Mary, as well as wine, beer, spirits, milkshakes, sodas, House Press juices and Origin coffee.
A ‘Mini Mollie’s’ menu is available for children, and the drive-thru and takeaway counter offer a range of options on-the-go.
Mollie’s Motel will open at the A420 in Buckland, with two sites in Manchester and Bristol earmarked for further expansion.
Soho House & Co’s portfolio includes 23 private members’ clubs and hotels, including the Ned and Soho Farmhouse, 13 restaurant brands, plus Soho Home and Soho Works workspace.
