Soho House has revealed plans to open its latest London site in spring this year.
The members’ club and hospitality portfolio is to launch 180 House at 180 Strand later in 2020, comprising two floors of members’ space, a restaurant and rooftop pool.
Below will be Soho Works, a workspace designed for members.
180 Strand, originally designed by architect Sir Frederick Gibberd in 1971-76, has been reimagined by The Vinyl Factory as creative hub. The interiors, by Soho House Design, retain original features with a mid-century inspired and 1970’s feel.
On the ninth floor, there is a rooftop pool with south-facing views over The Thames, the London Eye and Parliament, and a restaurant and bar encased in a glass box with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The eighth floor is the main club space for eating, drinking and relaxing.
Soho Works 180 Strand is the flagship site, with other locations being finished across London, New York, LA and Hong Kong.
