St Aubyn Estates opens Cornish boutique a year after acquisition

Family-owned business St Aubyn Estates has reopened Cornish boutique Mount Haven, a year after the group acquired the business.

St Aubyn Estates, which belongs to 5th Lord St Levan and his wife, took over the property in July 2016, and after a prolonged period of closure for an extension renovation, the new-look Mount Haven opened its doors in June.

The hotel has been transformed inside and out and now boasts 19 bedrooms, a terrace bar and restaurant overseen by head chef Ross Sloan, plus freelance therapists that can be booked for treatments.

Owners of St Aubyn Estates, 5th Lord St Levan and his wife, Mary live on St Michael’s Mount, which they run in partnership with the National Trust.

The 5000-acre estate includes the Home Farm, tenanted farms, residential and holiday cottages, the Godolphin Arms and a building company – Cornish Heritage Builders.

The addition of the Mount Haven to the group is an integral part of the family’s commitment to Marazion, Cornwall.
