The Crown at Woodbridge in Suffolk has opened a new smart dining terrace, in a bid to cater for more customers when summer rolls around.
The 16th century restaurant with rooms’ new outdoor space features two areas; the original smaller section which has been redesigned with lounge and bar style seating for up to 18 guests, while the new larger dining area can cater for up to 48 people.
Large parasols, patio heaters and blankets make sure the space can provide an area for guests in all weathers.
The Crown’s full AA two rosette restaurant lunch and dinner menu, created by head chef Darran Hazelton, will be served at the tables also.
An additional menu will also be offered by The Crown during week beginning June 19 to celebrate Suffolk Day on June 21, with dishes featuring the best of the county’s produce on its doorstep.
Key ingredients sourced from the heart of the Woodbridge area will include Sutton Hoo chickens, Hill Farm rapeseed oil and breads supplied by the bakery in Woodbridge, while all vegetables and fruits are grown and supplied by Virginia Nurseries of Woodbridge.
