Surya Hotels gives Essex hotel a makeover to celebrate a decade of trade

The Kingscliff Hotel in Holland-on-Sea has been given a £250k refurbishment to celebrate ten years operating as part of the Flying Trade Group.

Run by Surya Hotels in the portfolio, the hotel has been given a makeover, with a new dining concept introduced as well as ‘significant’ structural changes made and a redesign of the ground floor.

Suki Dulai, chief executive of the Flying Trade Group, said: “We continue to invest into our portfolio of hotels to ensure we are giving our guests the best possible offering in the area.”

As part of the new project, new concepts were trialled for the refurbishment ahead of the group’s upgrade of The George Hotel in Colchester, due to start shortly.

The Flying Trade Group took over the Kingscliff Hotel in 2009, purchased as part of the Surya Hotels portfolio, which also includes The George in Colchester, as well as The Mill Hotel in Sudbury and the Dukes Head in Kings Lynn.
