Wifi has been found to be the top priority for travellers when booking a hotel, with 56% stating that they purposely look for this when deciding on where to stay.
A new survey from cheapflights.co.uk of 943 Brits highlighted what is important to guests when it comes to choosing a hotel to book with.
The research found that 53% wanted breakfast included in the price, 41% wanted a swimming pool, 33% needed a good restaurant and 32% required a good view from the room.
Less important factors were flexible check in (25%); a lift (14%); a spa (13%) and Netflix or similar streaming service (8%).
UK spokesperson at Cheapflights, Lasse Skole Hansen, states: “With the availability of Wi-Fi connectivity continuing to have a direct impact on the overall travel experience, adopting the fastest technology in hotels and also in the air, continues to be an effective way of attracting more guests”.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) also recently announced the results of its 2019 Global Passenger Survey showing that passengers are looking to technology to improve their travel experience.
