The Bingham to rebrand to feel more like ‘modern members club’

Next month family owned boutique hotel The Bingham in Richmond will rebrand to ‘reconnect with its history’ and start its next chapter.

The property will undergo a full refurbishment to become the Bingham Riverhouse that will have more of a ‘modern members club feel’ spearheaded by its owners the Trinder family.

All 15 bedrooms have been given a makeover, alongside the new restaurant, marble bar and lounge, to now boast a design using light pastels, jewel tones and clean lines.

The new look has been created by interior designer Nicola Harding.

Originally built as two Georgian houses, the Trinder family acquired the property in 1984 and today is run by mother and daughter duo, Ruth and Samantha.

Samantha plans to reinstate the Bingham as a place for guests to “be themselves, feel at home, nurtured and cared for, more than ever before”.

She commented: “I grew up in what was my parents B&B in the eighties and in the naughties I was lucky enough to be given a free rein by my mother, a formidable Kenyan business woman, to transform it into Richmond’s first boutique hotel.

“As I’ve journeyed from hotelier to yoga teacher and therapist, I’m inspired to reconnect the Bingham with its history, to be a place for all to come, be themselves, feel at home, nurtured and cared for, even more than before.”
