The Celtic Collection is to launch the latest property in its portfolio, The Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, in October.
Plans for the new hotel were first unveiled in March 2021, with the hotel group pairing up with Welsh Rugby Union to open the new property.
The Parkgate Hotel has been transformed in two buildings formerly used as the city’s post office and court into a new 170-bedroom hotel next to Principality Stadium.
There is also a restaurant, team lounges and rooftop spa, as well as two events spaces, The Postmaster Suite and The Telegraph Room.
The Celtic Collection also operates the Newbridge on Usk country inn, Coldra Court Hotel and the flagship Celtic Manor Resort.
Jill Manley, group commercial director for The Celtic Collection, said: “The Celtic Collection is renowned for its outstanding service, and we are delighted to extend this into Wales’s capital city. The Parkgate Hotel sets a new bar for accommodation in the city and is a fantastic option for planners wanting to incorporate incentives into their programmes with a variety of activities to be explored within the city centre.”
