The Cottage in the Wood in Malvern has appointed a new general manager and head chef as business builds following reopening.
The boutique hotel, owned and operated by Nick and Julia Davies, has welcomed general manager Silviu Dinu who joins with a wealth of experience from the likes of Whatley Manor and Dormy House where he was deputy GM for almost two years until March 2020.
His role at The Cottage in the Wood marks his first as general manager.
Dinu started his journey in the hospitality industry in 2002 as a waiter in his native Romania, working his way up through the ranks before moving to the UK in 2005.

Prior to that he was sous chef at Brockencote Hall from June 2016 until April 2018. New GM Dinu says: “This is a place for guests to relax, breathe, and feel free, with great service and a mellow atmosphere. We want everyone to create unforgettable memories in the space we have created for them here.”
Nick and Julia Davies acquired The Cottage in the Wood in 2015 and have invested in a five-year refurbishment plan across the business.
