Robert Whitfield, regional director and general manager at The Dorchester hotel in Mayfair, has resigned from his position.

Whitfield joined the hotel in 2017, replacing Roland Fasel. He had previously worked as regional vice president and general manager of the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, which boasts 243 bedrooms, alongside a spa, golf course and a handful of restaurants.

Whitfield has not yet revealed whether he is planning to retire altogether or is hoping to take on a new role, although a replacement for him at The Dorchester is expected to be announced shortly.
