Farncombe Estate’s The Fish Hotel and YTL’s newly-renovated The Academy in London have become the latest properties in the UK to join the Small Luxury Hotels of the World consortium.
The Fish Hotel is situated on the Farncombe Estate in Broadway in the Cotswolds.
Designed as a ‘village-style’ collection of houses, huts and hideaways, the main hotel comprises 63 bedrooms, with ‘hilly huts’ with their own private hot tubs and luxury treehouses also located on the site.
Earlier this year, the hotel, which opened in 2015 underwent a £4m redevelopment, with a new restaurant introduced, alongside new luxury treehouses, extra bedrooms and a renovated farmhouse unveiled.
The new Hook restaurant, which serves fresh seafood, with the operation headed up by culinary director Martin Burge.
The Academy in London is a Grade-II listed property comprising five Georgian townhouses combined into one.
The 50-bedroom hotel relaunched this summer following a five-month, multi-million pound renovation project headed up by New York-based Champalimaud Design.
Bedrooms and public areas were redesigned, as well as the new Alchemy Bar introduced.
Both hotels have now joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), a collection of over 500 hotels in more than 80 countries around the world.
