YTL Hotels’ The Gainsborough Bath Spa has opened a new private destination in a bid to tap into the demand for a UK staycation post lockdown.
The Townhouse is situated adjacent to the hotel in Bath and comprises three bedrooms spread over four floors, sleeping up to five guests.
The space is said to combine the ‘comfort of a private home with the luxury services of the five-star hotel’, with guests having access to all facilities at The Gainsborough.
The Townhouse also offers access to the open-air bath, The Cross Bath, which is reserved solely for those guests only.
Standing separately to the hotel’s Spa Village, The Cross Bath is an official sacred site where Celts once revered their Goddess Sulis, in whose honour the Romans named the spa town, Aquae Sulis.
