Daniel Galmiche, a chef often seen on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, has joined London boutique hotel, The Gore, and will bring in a new menu just in time for the start of the BBC Proms.
Galmiche, who will officially launch the new offering on July 15, joins the 50-bed hotel from the Vineyard in Reading.
He also boasts experience at Gavroche, Cliveden House, Knockinham Lodge Scotland and L’Ortolan.
His new menu at The Gore, 190 Queensgate will be named ‘Proms Menu’ and will aim to attract those attending the BBC Proms given the hotel’s close promiximity to the Royal Albert Hall, which is just 100 meters away.
The four-star The Gore also offers a ‘show package’, which includes overnight star, pre-theatre set menu and a glass of prosecco.
The Gore is part of the Florentine-based Starhotels group which has 29 hotels around the world, including The Pelham and the soon-to-be-launched Franklin Hotel, designed by Anouska Hempel.
