One of London’s most hotly-anticipated hotel openings of 2020, The Guardsman, has boosted its senior management team with two new appointments.
The purpose-built luxury boutique on Buckingham Gate, which is scheduled to launch in June, has welcomed Nicolas Monaglio as deputy general manager, who will be supporting general manager Eva Mount who was appointed last year.
Monaglio joins The Guardsman from Fowey Harbour Hotel where he was hotel manager and prior to this was part of the opening team at the brand’s five-star new hotel in Southampton.
He has also held senior positions at The Kensington, Corinthia and Sheraton Grand London Park Lane.
The Guardsman has also appointed Karan Kaul as food and beverage manager who joins after 13 years of service at Firmdale Hotels, where he was food and beverage manager at Dorset Square Hotel and part of the opening team at Ham Yard.

They both possess a wealth of knowledge of the luxury boutique hotel industry and as we start the countdown to opening, their expertise will be invaluable.”
Scheduled to open in June 2020, The Guardsman will feature 53 bedrooms, whilst the top three floors encompass six residences.
The spaces for dining and socialising are set over two levels, with the hotel’s restaurant open only to guests.
The Guardsman is part of Preferred Hotels and Resorts.
