The Londoner, the new hotel in the capital from Edwardian Hotels due to open in spring 2020, has joined Preferred Hotels as part of its Legend Collection.
Comprising 350 bedrooms and 35 suites, plus a rooftop bar and underground spa, The Londoner has joined the consortium that represents more than 750 hotels and resorts across 85 countries, joining the likes of other London properties such as L’Oscar.
The Londoner will open next year in Leicester Square and alongside its bedrooms, will be home to a ‘pillarless’ ballroom, and will extend six levels below ground, where a spa and two private screening rooms will also be situated.
“We are delighted that The Londoner will join Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ prestigious Legend Collection. This highly credible strategic partnership will enable our guests and partners to benefit from a wide range of best-in-class global product offerings including access to the latest technology and a global network of travel sales and meetings and events experts,” said Inderneel Singh, director of Edwardian Hotels London, which owns and operates The Londoner. “This collaboration is set to enhance the experiences of all who stay with us and work with us.”
Through this strategic partnership, guests of The Londoner will be eligible to enrol in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, which extends points redeemable for cash-value Reward Certificates, elite status, and special benefits such as complimentary internet to members upon every stay at more than 700 participating Preferred Hotels & Resorts locations worldwide.
The Londoner will be bookable via PreferredHotels.com starting October 2019.
Earlier this year it was revealed at Charles Oak, former GM at Heckfield Place, will take the helm of The Londoner as hotel director when it opens next year.
It was also confirmed in May that the new hotel had secured a £175m ‘green loan’ from HSBC to make it one of the most sustainable properties in the UK.
