The Magdalen Chapter to be rebranded as Hotel du Vin Exeter following acquisition

The Magdalen Chapter is to be rebranded at Hotel du Vin Exeter, as the boutique brand continues its development plans under its new ownership.

The Magdalen Chapter was one of four properties to be acquired last November by Malmaison and Hotel du Vin’s new owners, Frasers Hospitality, in a £36.1m deal from Swire Properties Hotels Holdings.

Now it’s been revealed that the luxury boutique, which was formerly an eye hospital, has been rebranded to fall under the Hotel du Vin umbrella.

This new addition will take the number of Hotel du Vin properties in the UK to 17.

Nick Halliday, COO Hotel du Vin, said: “We are delighted to announce that Exeter’s Magdalen Chapter is to become a Hotel du Vin. This stunning property and historic city is a perfect fit for our brand. We can’t wait to show guests how we do things – Hotel du Vin style.”
