The Monterey in Jersey has become the latest addition to the Best Western portfolio.
The family-owned hotel in St Helier joins the group’s Sure Hotel Collection brand, growing its number to over 260 independent hotels.
The three-star hotel is owned by Morvan Hotels, which also operates three other hotels and 12 apartments on the island.
The Monterey has seen regular and substantial investment in recent years.
Paul Morvan, director said: “We are really proud that The Monterey is in the final stages of joining the Best Western brand portfolio. The hotel will remain locally owned and run, under the Best Western brand, by the Morvan family, long established independent hoteliers on the island. The Sure Hotel Collection brand complements our existing full brand Best Western Royal Hotel, continuing our strong relationship with Best Western. Having worked with them at our sister property, we value their support as a global brand which helps us better compete in our market.”
Rob Paterson, CEO at Best Western Great Britain, added: “We’re delighted to welcome The Monterey, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western and expand our existing portfolio in Jersey and the Channel Islands. Best Western now has brands to suit every guest, from economy to luxury, across over 260 locations in Great Britain. We look forward to working in partnership with the team at the hotel to showcase and celebrate their hotel both locally and globally.”
