The Pig at Harlyn Bay will open its doors in June 2020, marking the boutique brand’s seven hotel and first in Cornwall.
The Pig at Harlyn Bay will be set within a Grade-II listed mansion dating back to the 16th century, which sits at the end of a long driveway surrounded by almost five acres of gardens.
As well as a welcoming reception area, snug bar and relaxing Map Room, the new property will be home to a restaurant, a wine store and private dining room all ‘full of Cornish character’.
Upstairs in the main house, there are 11 bedrooms, with a further 15 bedrooms in the stables, which sit left to the main building. There will also be four of the ‘most sexiest’ Shepherd’s Huts, situated on the way to the kitchen garden. All rooms and spaces have been designed by Judy Hutson, the creative behind the look and feel of all The Pigs in the litter.
The kitchen garden at The Pig at Harlyn Bay is currently being restored to its former glory in the coming months. There are also two Potting Sheds where spa treatments will be offered.
The Pig Sty is a space with wood-fired oven and BBQ designed to serve grills, flatbreads and drinks and comes complete with outdoor showers.
Robin Hutson says: “This is amongst the very best coastal settings anywhere in Cornwall with immediate access to a beautiful and immensely sought after part of the North Cornish coastline with some of the county’s most celebrated beaches a stone’s throw from the hotel.”
The Pig at Bridge Place in Kent opened its 31 bedrooms and bar and restaurant in April following an 18-month transformation project.
Robin Hutson will take to the stage at this year’s Independent Hotel Show for a special interview to share his insights into his creative inspirations and business savvy on the first day of the London exhibition in a session not to be missed.
