The new rooftop venue due to open atop Liverpool’s newest boutique, the Shankly Hotel, in August is nearing competition as construction reaches the halfway point.
The new space, named Eden, will be home to a main function room designed for weddings, conferences and events, as well as a rooftop garden area and café-bar that will be open to the public.
Plans for the venue also include two swimming pools and a 100ft slide which will be used to raise funds for charity.
Now the project is at the halfway stage with the main function room having been created and the outdoor garden area built. Work will now begin on the terrace area and the swimming pools.
Eden’s official launch in August will be celebrated with a two-day mini festival at the hotel.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, co-founder of Signature Living, Lawrence Kenwright, said: “Eden will be Liverpool’s most exciting major events venue when we officially open to the public in August. Nowhere else can people enjoy unencumbered 360 degree views of Liverpool on a stunning rooftop garden comprising a bar, restaurant and swimming pools.”
The Shankly Hotel is owned and operated by Signature Living who also revealed earlier this year its Signature Hotel housed inside the same building as the Shankly.
The Signature Hotel is specifically targeted towards stag and hen parties and larger groups, and is a billed as a ‘secret hotel’ with an Alice in Wonderland fantasy theme.
