The Spa at the Midland to be rebranded following acquisition by Leonardo Hotels


The Spa at the Midland is to be completely rebranded as Rena Spa at the Midland, following the hotel’s sale to Leonardo Hotels.

Developed by Leonardo Hotels and UK and Ireland hotel group – Jurys Inn – the Rena Spa concept will go live at the Midland from November 25th.

Rena Spa will feature French vinotherapy spa brand Caudalie, wellness brand Germaine Du Cappucini and skincare brand Crystal Clear.

The hotel, which first opened in 1903 by Midland Railway, was acquired by Leonardo Hotels, a division of Israel’s Fattal Hotels Group,in November 2018 for £115m.

The four-star hotel has 312 bedrooms, two restaurants – Adam Reid at the French, and Mr Cooper’s – a Tea Room, bar and lounge, 14 conference and meeting rooms, the spa and gym. It was revealed that £11m was to be invested into the business soon after the takeover.
