UK hotel group Hallmark Hotels has made a series of new management hires across its portfolio this autumn, with three new GMs joining the collection.
Joseph Henry has been appointed as general manager at Hallmark Hotel Warrington, Andrew Conway is now general manager at Hallmark Hotel Flitwick Manor and Shane Townsend has been welcomed as general manager at Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent.
The new general managers are now responsible for leading their teams across F&B, meetings, events and accommodation sales while also focusing on new recruitment drives and reconnecting with their local communities and corporates, each will be tasked to fulfil Hallmark Hotels’ key focus in customer service.
Henry is now at the helm of the 52-bedroom hotel, wedding and events venue located between the North West’s two largest cities, Manchester and Liverpool.
As part of his appointment, Joseph is currently redesigning the hotel’s wedding packages and conference offering. He is also leading a recruitment drive, to build a team that offers “good, honest Northern hospitality” throughout the hotel.
Starting his career in hospitality as a kitchen hand, Conway has managed hotels for more than 15 years on behalf of leading hospitality brands.
He is now responsible for this Grade II listed 17th century manor house, just three miles from the M1, known for its easy connections to London and nearby Woburn Safari Park.
Townsend began his career as a chef, before becoming a front of house specialist and then taking up hotel management roles on behalf of leading hospitality brands.
He said: “We are encouraged to be independent and entrepreneurial, which allows us far greater flexibility and the ability to react quickly to changes in the market. It also means that we can really tailor guest stays and special events in a way that some of the large chain hotels can’t.”
