The hospitality industry’s leading exhibition for the independent, lifestyle, boutique hotel sector, the Independent Hotel Show, has put together a list of its top six ‘Instagrammable’ city hotels that are successfully using the social media platform to drum up more business.
1. L’OSCAR, LONDON
Touching on the Art Nouveau style, L’oscar is an elegant and unique boutique hotel, which uses a rich colour palette of deep purple, red, petrol blue and canary yellow. Throughout the hotel, there are glass birds above light fixtures, embroidered peacocks on the walls, and floral prints on bespoke furniture, creating a picture-perfect location.
2. THE ROSE, KENT
The Rose is filled with bold colours, distinctive patterns and vintage furnishings around the hotel to create a mix between local heritage and modern design. This chic hotel has a different colour theme and style for each room, giving guests the options of various photogenic rooms to choose from!
3. HOTEL GOTHAM, MANCHESTER
Inspired by the Art Deco heritage of the building, Hotel Gotham is designed with the concept of timeless luxury. Bespoke geometric carpets and beautifully rich wall finishes of metal, wood, leather and ceramic are used throughout the hotel, with travel trunk-style cabinets, striking pink accents and velvet furnishings in the rooms, designed to provide ‘micro-moments’ for the detail-oriented guest.
4. THE TAMBURLAINE, CAMBRIDGE
Polished and contemporary, The Tamburlaine has been designed to create an atmosphere of comfortable, understated luxury. One of the main instagrammable fetaures of this hotel is the Garden Room, which has colonial-style wallpaper, exotic plants and bespoke pastel-coloured sofas and chairs, and is home for their afternoon tea – another instagram classic.
5. BLAKES HOTEL, LONDON
With a sleek black exterior, Blakes Hotel combines a fusion of eastern and western styles. Each room is individually and extravengently designed, with various influences of Asian, Moroccan and Colonial styles. The lobby and restaurant features black laquer and gold detailing, with monochrome harlequin pattenered flooring, creating a striking and luxe interior designed to be share by those who want to show off online!
6. ARTIST RESIDENCE, BRIGHTON
Artist Residence is known for their eccentricity and individuality. Filled with creative ideas, each room are unique in style, often designed by local artists. The rooms feature quirky original artwork and a mix of upcycled and vintage furnishings, creating a bohemian and eclectic style, sure to be something guest will want to share with their followers.
