Popular Edinburgh serviced apartments, Princes Street Suites, have unveiled the results of its recent refurbishment following a £350k investment.

All 37 one, two and three bedroom apartments in the former Edinburgh Post Office building have been given a makeover by Glasgow-based interior designer Linda Reid and now boast bespoke furniture, furnishings and accessories.

Linda Reid, said: “The Princes Street Suites are a wonderful blend of old and new, with part of the building dating back to 1816 and another section very contemporary in feel. As such, I wanted to make sure the design reflected this and brought these two elements together.

“Another important aspect of the design was the introduction of our signature blue plaid, which really informed the modern Scottish aesthetic in the apartments. It’s wonderful to see this fantastic property with a brand new lease of life during its bicentenary year.”

Managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels, the refurbishment is the first major project undertaken by Princes Street Suites’ new general manager, Fiona Mackenzie, who took over the role last July.

Mackenzie said: “The Princes Street Suites have never looked more inviting and we can’t wait to welcome new and returning guests to enjoy our upgraded facilities.”
