Torquay’s Lincombe Hall Hotel creates waves with £2m luxury spa facility

Lincombe Hall Hotel

Lincombe Hall Hotel in Torquay has launched a new luxury spa complex, rounding off a £2m investment project.

The new spa, which comprises a hydro pool, gym, sauna, aromatherapy steam room and Himalayan salt room as well as seven treatment rooms and nail bar, rounds off a refurbishment and upgrade at Lincombe Hall completed by Devon-based interiors practice Ashton House Design.

Quirky features such as the ‘divers’ hooks and curated collection of jelly fish glass sculptures displayed on custom-built shelving covey the overall theme.

Ashton House Design director Simon Bantock comments: “We were delighted to be part of this inspiring and ambitious project.  We were involved right from the start which meant that we can influence every detail and the result is a luxury spa destination that the area can be proud of.”

The Lincombe Hall Hotel has a varied history having been built in 1841 as a summer home for Dr Alexander Sutherland, the writer and philosopher.

The four-star hotel is now home to 44 bedrooms, plus a bistro and restaurant.
