Skene House, the number 1 hotel in Aberdeen on TripAdvisor, has announced a trip of new appointments as it bids to retain its top spot on the review site for a sixth year.
The accommodation provider, which started in 1979, has appointed a new sales manager, assistant manager and receptionist to work across the group’s three properties in Aberdeen, Skene House Whitehall, Skene House Rosemount and Skene House Holburn.
Lauren Cragie has joined as sales manager, while Samantha Thompson has been promoted to the role of assistant manager for Skene House’s commercial department.
Thompson has worked her way up since coming to the company more than 10 years ago, starting in the housekeeping department.
Former Skene House receptionist Scott Cairns has also been promoted to the role of reservationist after working with the company for four years.
Skene House as a whole comprises 189 studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments.
Skene House Whitehall has retained the number one spot on TripAdvisor for Aberdeen hotels for the past five years, with sister venue Skene House Rosemount at number two.
Commenting on the new-look sales team, Skene House commercial manager Angela Greenhalgh said: “A critical part of the success of our business lies in having the right people in place as we prepare to embrace the challenges and opportunities of 2017 and beyond.
“Creating a balance of new faces and those with thorough knowledge of our company correctly positions Skene House to maximise our potential, as well as continuing to offer the high levels of customer service upon which our reputation is built.”
