Turnover at Aviator by TAG soars to £9.7m as business celebrates 10 years

Independent, luxury hotel Aviator by TAG is predicted to deliver a growth this year of almost £100% compared to 10 years ago when the business first opened its doors.

The 169-bed hotel in Farnborough, which was the brainchild of TAG Group who acquired the former RAF officer’s mess in 2008, is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary in July and is predicted to record a turnover of £9.7m.

This is an impressive increase on the figure from 2008, when the business turned over £5m.

Fast forward ten years and Aviator’s occupancy has also gone from 48% to a predicted 78% in 2018, with the hotel becoming a popular choice for local businesses in the area.

Alongside 169 bedrooms, Aviator is also home to a 2 AA Rosette restaurant, cocktail bar, seven event spaces, and employs more than 230 team members.

Since opening, Aviator also acquired The Swan gastropub, which it reopened in 2015 following a full refurbishment.
