“We need to celebrate the success of our teams” says Customer Service Star sponsor at BH Awards


Monica Or, founder of Star Quality Hospitality Consultancy, has stressed the importance of celebrating the successes of staff working within the hospitality industry following her fourth consecutive year of sponsoring the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards.

Award-winning author Or, who works with hoteliers and restaurateurs to improve their operations, develop their staff and increase bookings overall, presented the Customer Service Star Award to Ned Holder at The Stafford at the 2018 awards held last month in London.

“These events are so important to reward and recognise the individuals that go out of their way to create some wonderful memories for their guests and make their experiences unique,” Or tells BH. “Hospitality is a wonderful industry to work in and events like this really show how great this industry is. We need to continually celebrate the successes and wins of our teams and let our Star Quality Talent shine through.”

The fifth annual awards, held at Hilton Olympia on the first day of the Independent Hotel Show, saw 12 employees working at hotels across the country recognised for their dedication to excellence within the sector. After a nominations process, a shortlist for each category was drawn up before the winners were decided upon by the expert industry judges and revealed at the ceremony in October.

Or adds: “This year’s Personal Service Star Awards were another great event for hoteliers and their teams to come together from across the country. Once again the competition was strong this year and I was delighted to sponsor and present the Customer Service Award to Ned Holder from The Stafford London.
