Andreas Rosendal had joined Whatley Manor as food and beverage manager.
The 23-bedroom country house hotel in the Cotswolds has appointed Rosendal from his role as wine director at Flemings Mayfair, and comes with more than 15 years of experience as a sommelier and wine buyer.
Now as part of his new role he will be responsible for the hotel’s Michelin-starred The Dining Room, as well as Grey’s Brasserie, afternoon tea, room service, breakfast and the recently launched Green Room.
He also boasts experience at the likes Down Hall Hotel in Essex, The Westbury in Mayfair, Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham, and The Greenhouse in Mayfair, all of which hold Michelin stars.
Commenting on Andreas’ appointment, general manager Sue Williams said: “It’s a wonderful moment when such an experienced and professional gentleman agrees to join your team. Andreas brings with him a wealth of experience that spans 5-star hotels and very fine restaurants. His arrival gives us an opportunity to continue to raise the bar on all our service points – we are very excited about this next chapter for Whatley.”
A first Michelin star was awarded to The Dining Room, under executive chef Niall Keating, in 2018.
