Whittlebury Park launches plant-based menus for Veganuary

Whittlebury Park

Whittlebury Park, a luxury countryside hotel and spa in rural Northamptonshire, has introduced plant-based menus across all its F&B outlets for the month of January.

The new menus are in response to Veganuary, an annual campaign which encourages people to follow an exclusively vegan diet for the first month of the year.

The resort’s three AA Rosette restaurant Murrays is offering a limited-edition tasting menu, complete with option vegan wine pairings.

The tasting menu is priced at £70 per person and dishes include Cambridgeshire onion with thyme and Saxby cider velouté, and risotto with Lincolnshire Jerusalem artichoke and cashew nut dukkah.

Whittlebury Park’s contemporary restaurant, Aston’s, will feature a variety of plant-based options throughout the month, including pea and mint arancini with grilled asparagus, baby vegetables and truffle salad; chestnut mushroom and spinach suet pudding with braised red cabbage and carrot top pesto; and poached peach with poppy seed syrup and macerated strawberries.

At breakfast time, guests will be able to opt for a full vegan breakfast from the Silverstone Bar or Astons, which features plant-based Lincolnshire sausage, vegan bacon, scrambled ‘Oggs’, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash brown bites and baked beans.

Hotel guests can also enjoy a plant-based afternoon tea for £21.95 per person, while guests enjoying spa treatments can tuck into a variety of buffet-style plant-based options, including 24-hour oats with fresh berries, warm churros with a dark chocolate and almond dip; and chargrilled tandoori tofu and mushroom pilaf.

Plant-based options will be available at the spa on a permanent basis.

Whittlebury Park is a 254-bedroom hotel, home to a three AA Rosette fine-dining restaurant, a luxurious spa and a 36-hole Championship golf course.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the M1, one hour from London and within easy reach of Oxford, Stowe and Stratford-upon-Avon.
