To celebrate the launch of its latest collection, designed specifically for the boutique hotel industry, leading uniform provider Simon Jersey is offering one lucky hotel the chance to win a new boutique-inspired uniform for its entire staff, up to the value of £3,000.
The winning hotel will work with Simon Jersey’s design manager, Helen Harker, to create a uniform that is both fashionable and functional, suited to each individual’s daily role as well as the style, décor and personality of the building.
The hotel will also be the focus of a follow up feature in Boutique Hotelier, looking at the final uniforms and what winning has meant to the business and its staff.
The uniform will pull elements from Simon Jersey’s new and unique Boutique Hotel range, which combines retro styles with more modern elements, to provide a casual and contemporary feel for all aspects of the business, including reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping.
The Boutique collection was introduced following the increased popularity of independent hotels and offers sleek tailoring and incorporates light and dark shades of black denim in a variety of styles to reflect the décor and service offering found in high quality, boutique hotels.
A modern slant has been added to the housekeeping range with a new sleeveless tunic, which features a wrap-around style, front or back tie fastening, and princess panelling. The added V-neckline ensures the piece feels feminine while ensuring comfort and ease of movement.
The range also adds four new denim aprons in a variety of styles for a casual dress down look, including the Denim Bib Apron, which has fashion-forward colour block pockets and coordinating button straps and webbing ties. The added detail allows the workforce to stand out while making sure everyone feels their best in the uniforms.
The collection features a selection of best-selling garments, including the Qualitas2.0 suiting range and peplum tops, to allow teams to coordinate easily while finding uniforms to suit each individual.

The competition and new collection mark a fresh direction for Simon Jersey, following its rebrand earlier this year.
