Garry Baldwin took over the managing director role at New Forest Hotels in March this year, being promoted less than a year after joining the company for the first time.
The group comprises four hotels – Bartley Lodge, Beaulieu Hotel, Forest Lodge and Moorhill House – Burley Manor, a restaurant and rooms and a country pub, the Drift Inn, and Baldwin is in charge of leading the teams to success.
In October 2018, Baldwin was appointed head of group operations at New Forest Hotels, departing his role of senior hotel inspector at AA Hotel Services where he had been for 11 years.
During his time at the AA, Baldwin personally created the renowned AA College Rosette Scheme, which is one of the highest accreditations in partnership with People 1st for college restaurants in the industry.
His other experience includes stints at Bovey Castle, Pennyhill Park, and Cunard.
Recently New Forest Hotels said 2019 looks “set to be a pivotal year” for the group and in particular Burley Manor, with the team aiming to bring in “new concepts”. Baldwin will be key to driving this growth.
