The Feathered Nest, a pub with rooms in the Cotswolds, has been granted planning permission to create eight additional bedrooms.

The new rooms will be located in a stand-alone new property on the site and will bring the total room count at the pub to 12, up from four.

Work on the new rooms is set to commence early next year, with a projected six to nine month build time.

Adam Taylor, owner of The Feathered Nest Inn, commented: “The new guest rooms will bring a great boost to the overall guest experience and commercial viability of a business that seeks to be at the heart of its community.

“The ability to have more guests stay and enjoy our hospitality and experience the true beauty of the Cotswolds, brings an exciting new dynamic to The Feathered Nest offering.”

The plans for additional bedrooms follows the promotion of Renemar Pinedo to the role of head chef last December.

Pinedo started his career at the esteemed Restaurant Rozemarijn in Holland before moving to the UK and working at leading venues such as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Dabbous.

The chef is originally from the Caribbean island of Curacao and his menu draws inspiration from his roots, with a focus on fresh seafood and open grill cooking.

At the time of his appointment, he commented: “I am so excited that I am now taking the helm at The Feathered Nest and putting my own stamp on the menu. The Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the world and after my first visit, I knew I wanted to make it my home.”

Located in the village of Nether Westcote, The Feathered Nest Inn was originally a malt house. Today, it comprises a traditional Cotswolds pub offering 3 AA Rosette cuisine, a dog-friendly cottage and four individually designed boutique bedrooms.
