The trio behind the Wiltshire based Chickpea Group have acquired a seventh pub in what will be their first in the county of Somerset.
The Manor House in the village of Ditcheat near Bruton is the newest addition to the collection of pubs with rooms and is now undergoing a two-month refit and refurbishment before reopening to the public in its new guise.
On re-opening, there will be seven bedrooms upstairs, a classic Chickpea pub menu inside and a separate nole pizza kitchen serving sourdough pizzas.
The menu will be devised by executive chef, Harry Russell, and diners can expect the usual ‘Pub Banger’ menu of hearty fare, alongside pizzas from the nole pizza kitchen.
The wine list will be provided by Gardner and Beedle, and they will serve their own beers under the business’s new brewery in Wiltshire, Rude Giant Brew Co, among others.
The Manor House boasts cosy interiors, beamed ceilings and open fires, plus plenty of outside space in the beer garden.
There will be around 50 covers inside the main pub, and a further 40 in what will be the nole pizza kitchen.
Sitting centrally in the Somerset village of Ditcheat, which is most famous for Paul Nicholls racehorses and the production of Barbers Cheese, the pub itself dates back to the 18th century and is packed with charm, period features and views of the surrounding Mendip Hills.
The pub has been closed for the past six months, and will aim to reopen at the end of June.

Chickpea Group is a handful of pubs with rooms and pizza shops in the Southwest of England. It is owned and run by brother and sister, Ethan and Jordan Davids, along with their friend, Tommy Tullis.
The trio were featured in the Young Trailblazers category of the Boutique Hotelier Power List 2023.
