JLL Hospitality Group instructed to sell two established hotels in the Midlands

JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has been appointed by RSM Leisure Limited to sell the Lea Marston Hotel, North Warwickshire and The Abbey Hotel, Worcestershire.

The two family-owned hotels provide a total of 216 bedrooms (Lea Marston Hotel 117 bedrooms and The Abbey Hotel 99 bedrooms) set in excess of 210 acres and benefiting from significant meeting space, leisure facilities and three golf courses, including the Championship standard Abbey Golf Course.

Both properties have been in the same family ownership for over 25 years and now they are looking to retire, presenting potential buyers with the opportunity to acquire the hotels with complete operational and branding flexibility.

Gavin Wright, part of the team at JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality, says he anticipates ‘strong interest from both domestic and overseas investors’.

He said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire two award-winning purpose-built hotels in central England, which have excellent general and online reputations.

“Birmingham, the UK’s largest economic centre outside of London is located just a 20 minutes’ drive from both hotels and generates extremely strong corporate and leisure demand.

“The hotels are established conference, wedding and banqueting venues and offer extensive leisure facilities, spas and health clubs with circa 5,000 external members across both sites.”
