McDevitt’s previous roles include high-level positions at Hotel Du Vin Harrogate and Macdonald Hotels & Resorts.
He commented: “It’s a hugely exciting time to be joining the team in Bath and I very much look forward to developing the hotel’s luxury offering.”
Bowles joins the team at Queens Hotel Cheltenham from Ennismore.
He previously held the role of London Operations Director and prior to that was General Manager of Eynsham Hall in Oxfordshire for almost 15 years, overseeing a refurbishment of the hotel totalling £2.5million.
Bowles said: “I am delighted to now be working at Queens Hotel Cheltenham, where we will be focusing on delivering an unrivalled customer experience.”
Francis Hotel Bath first launched in 2012.
The hotel was first opened by Emily Francis, who merged seven Georgian townhouses to form the property standing today.
The luxury 98-room boutique hotel opened its latest outlet, restaurant Boho Marché, in December 2020.
The restaurant has a Mediterranean-meets-Morocco theme and offers both indoor and outdoor dining to guests, as well as a private dining room for special ocassions.
Queens Hotel Cheltenham is an 84-room hotel which originally opened in the same year as Queen Victoria’s Coronation in 1838, leading the hotel to be named in her honour.
Today the hotel offers original Victorian features that pay homage to its royal name.
