Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park embarks on multi-million pound restoration set for spring 2018

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has started a multimillion pound restoration, which will see its bedrooms, restaurant and public areas refreshed.

The hotel, which will remain open throughout the changes, has appointed designer Joyce Wang to oversee the overall design concept, taking her inspiration from the hotel’s heritage and park-side location.

All 181 rooms and suites will be refreshed, with Art Deco-inspired features including curated artworks and custom-designed furniture, added.

Two new penthouse suites will also be created, with private terraces, while the hotel’s entrance, main lobby and reception areas will be reconfigured and redesigned.

Adam D. Tihany has been appointed to oversee the design of the next-generation Spa at Mandarin Oriental, London, which will be expanded to include couples’ facilities and a Mandarin Oriental Spa Studio concept, offering express beauty and grooming treatments for both men and women.

The hotel’s restaurants and bars, together with the Ballroom and meeting facilities, will undergo a soft refurbishment.
